Hand-Made in Muskogee, Oklahoma

Brenda Tolliver, 67. Working metal by hand for thirty years. Every summer she has made her American eagles for the Fourth of July. For the country's 250th, she's making her last.

"The first one was never meant to be sold. I made it for my father's grave — he served in Korea and almost never spoke of it. Folks at the cemetery saw it and started asking. That's how it began, one eagle at a time."

— Brenda Tolliver, Muskogee, Oklahoma

Why This Eagle

Six Things You Won't Find on a Cheap Import

Every detail below is the result of thirty years of making the same thing by hand — and refusing to cut a corner on any of them.

✦ Material

Heavy-Gauge American Steel

Not the thin tin that bends in your hand and arrives the size of a dinner plate. This is heavy-gauge steel, cut and shaped by hand. Pick it up once and you can feel the difference between a real piece and a Facebook-ad knock-off.

✦ Finish

Hand-Painted, Layer by Layer

The deep blue of the field, the red and white through the wings, the white crown of the head — brushed on by hand, layer after layer, with a UV-stable finish over the top. It won't fade to the sad pink the cheap ones turn by August.

✦ Built to Stay

Primed So Rust Never Takes Hold

The bare metal is primed before a drop of color goes on, so rust never gets a foothold. It stands through sun, rain, and wind, season after season — left out from Memorial Day clear through Veterans Day, year after year.

✦ Size

A Full 66 Inches Tall

Taller than most of the "jumbo" eagles in the photos — 66″ high, 32″ wide, 21″ deep. The picture is the product. What you see is exactly what arrives at your door.

✦ Made Here

Made & Shipped in the USA

Made by hand in the United States and shipped from a U.S. warehouse — not bent into a box overseas. If anything's wrong, a real person answers here in the States, not a dead return address.

✦ One at a Time

No Assembly Line — No Two Alike

Each eagle takes the better part of two days. It is cut, shaped, and hand-painted individually, which is why no two are ever exactly the same. There never was an assembly line, and there never will be.

✦ Craft Note

"The difference between a hand-built metal piece and a stamped import is obvious the moment you hold both. Heavy-gauge steel that's been hand-primed and finished with a UV-stable coat will hold its color and shape outdoors for years, where a thin printed import fades and rusts within a season. What's being made here is the real thing — the same way these pieces have been built by hand for generations."

Quality Promise

Five Things You Get With Every Eagle

100% Hand-Made by Brenda Every eagle is cut, shaped, painted, and inspected by Brenda herself — no factory, no assembly line, no shortcuts.
Heavy-Gauge Steel — Not Thin Tin Built from real, heavy-gauge American steel that holds its shape and stands up to the wind — not the flimsy metal that bends on the cheap imports.
Hand-Painted, UV-Stable Finish Primed against rust and sealed with a UV-stable coat. It won't crack, peel, or fade to pink the way the printed knock-offs do by August.
A Full 66 Inches — The Photo Is the Product 66″ tall, 32″ wide, 21″ deep. What you see is what arrives — no shrinking it down to the size of your hand.
Final Collection — No Reorders This is Brenda's last summer. When her hands set down the brush at the end of July, the workshop closes for good. Once these are gone, there will be no restock.

✦ A Note From Muskogee

Brenda hand-finishes every eagle and looks over each one before it ships. Slight variations in the brushwork and the shaping of the metal are a natural part of handmade work — no two eagles are exactly alike, and that is by design. The steel is cut by hand. The paint is brushed on, layer by layer. Each one takes the better part of two days. These aren't flaws. They are the maker's hand at work — thirty years of it.
